Driftmotion 2JZ-GE VVTi ETCSi Drive By Wire Delete. This item is to make the drive by wire throttle body on 2JZ-GE VVTi engines (that have a ETCSi logo on them) into a fully mechanical throttle body. These engines are commonly found in the IS300, GS300, and SC300.

This item is NOT intended for use with the stock ECU. The motor inside the side cover of the throttle body must be removed. Using this item will disable any electronic throttle idle control functionality, but there is a factory throttle stop you can use to manually adjust a fixed idle speed. We recommend using a small amount of removable Loctite on the set screw.

This item is NOT intended for use with the stock ECU! We get a lot of questions about what will happen if this item is used with the stock ECU. It would typically cause "limp mode" limiters and hesitations, because this item disables the stock drive by wire setup, which the stock ecu sees as an electronic throttle control error. If the motor is left connected, it will drag the DBW motor around, which could cause permanent damage. The ecu would likely try to cut the engine power in order to stop the vehicle from unintended acceleration. If you want to buy one and try it on a stock ecu, you assume all responsibility. We did not intend for this item to be used with a stock ecu, and we make no claims about engine safety or functionality if used for that purpose.
