Driftmotion CNC Modified 1JZ-GTE / 2JZ-GTE Oil Pump

Our Driftmotion JZ oil pumps are now being CNC modified instead of being all done by hand. This allows us to offer more flow volume, better consistency, and all the pumps are modified to handle high RPM and/or NA-T setups! Even if you have a totally stock engine, this upgraded pump will extend the life of your engine by providing better oil volume and pressure regulation when needed. It also helps reduce the extra high oil pressure in the midrange RPM range, especially when using thicker oil than the stock weight 5w30.

We first increase the seal oil pressure relief hole to lower the pressure on the front main seal to help keep the seal from popping out. Next we radius and clearance the pump body in multiple places to increase oil flow and have more consistent pressure, polish the relief valve, and shim the relief valve spring for better oil pressure at high RPM. Last we upgrade the pump cover bolts to an allen head for more accurate torque, and use Torco HP assembly lube on the pump gerotor to build oil pressure quickly at first startup. We very carefully clean everything before assembly, and use the best Snap-On torque wrench available. We are also now installing a new upgraded Viton o-ring on the oil pressure regulator cap.

This upgrade is something we used to do only on in-house engine build projects, but now we are making these upgrades available to all our customers!

We now have 2 options!

*CNC High RPM Capable / NA-T Version.
If you have a totally stock engine, and NA-T with no oil squirters, or if you have higher than stock redline, we open up the oil relief port and chamfer it to handle additional bypass oil flow.

*CNC Race Version
If you want to have an outlet directly out the side of the pump for an external oil filter/cooler setup, and larger oil relief port for high RPM, we can make a Race Version that comes with a -10 outlet on the side of the pump, and a -10 inlet adapter for the block. (This version will NOT work with an AC compressor installed). This modification allows for less oil flow restriction by bypassing the stock oil pump passage in the block. Since we plug the stock outlet on the back of the pump, no modification is required to the block oil passage.
